Big Brown Dad is a comedic fatherhood blog written from the perspective of a Mexican-American dad living, loving and learning in Los Angeles’ San Gabriel Valley.
Big Brown Dad is Carlos Aguilar, a content strategist and cultural creative whose written and produced reality TV, travel, talk and award shows, documentaries, commercials, branded content platforms and social media campaigns. He’s worked with A&E, Fox, Lifetime, Hallmark, Telemundo, PBS, Sony, Wells Fargo, Honda, Steve Harvey, Mariah Carey, and Magic Johnson, to name a few.
Carlos has a BA from Occidental and an MA in the Philosophy of Religion & Ethics from Talbot School of Theology. As a hip hop artist known as Bookworm Brown, he’s performed across the United States, Mexico, Guatemala, China and Japan. He recently founded mestizo.coffee as means of exploring his passion for food, history and story telling. He’s Editorial Director at Quantasy, an agency in Los Angeles.
